The Music Director at Westside Presbyterian Church plays a vital role in enhancing the worship experience by providing appropriate music selections and coordinating musical elements for each worship service. Responsibilities:

1. Music Selection and Preparation:

  • Select, arrange, and adapt music to align with service themes and congregation’s engagement.

2. Coordination and Rehearsal:

  • Engage volunteers, ensuring high-quality performances, and optimal sound setup.

3. Event Planning and Special Programs:

  • Organize music events, facilitate rehearsals, and support special occasion performances.

4. Administration and Communication:

  • Maintain music alignment with service themes, handle licensing requirements.

5. Technical Support:

  • Support with sound setup and balance, assisting the Tech Director as needed.

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated proficiency in music coordination, arrangement, and performance.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Experience with sound equipment preferred.
  • Commitment to Westside Presbyterian Church’s mission.

Working Hours and Compensation:

  • Approximately 8-10 hours per week, with flexibility for additional hours during special events.
  • Compensation and benefits will be determined based on qualifications and experience.
