The following memo is from Justice Ministries of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

KAIROS is organizing ecumenical meetings with MPs. Please be a part of these meetings, or arrange your own!
January 13, 2010
Thank you for your ongoing support of KAIROS: Canadian Ecumenical Justice Initiatives. The November 30, 2009 decision by CIDA’s Minister, The Honourable Bev Oda, to not fund KAIROS’ 2009-2013 program has not yet been reversed.
Presbyterians (and all KAIROS church members) are being asked to meet with our Members of Parliament (MPs) and request that this decision be reversed.
Justice Ministries is working with KAIROS to:
- Identify individuals willing to meet with their MP, but who would prefer to do so in a group of people. We can facilitate connecting you with other people in your riding.
- Provide advice and assistance for groups of people that wish to meet with their MP.
The goal of the meetings is to reverse the decision to not fund KAIROS’ 2009-2013 program.
Many Presbyterians have already written to or met with their MPs. Thank you for doing this. Throughout January and into February, KAIROS is arranging ecumenical meetings with as many MPs as possible.
Are you willing to meet with your MP?
