Principal Clerk Announces Ballot for Moderator of 136th General Assembly

As is the custom in The Presbyterian Church in Canada on the first day of December, the Principal Clerk of the General Assembly announced the names that will appear on the ballot for Moderator of the 136th General Assembly in 2010.
The Rev. Stephen Kendall issued the following statement this afternoon:
I am pleased to announce that the following names will appear on the ballot for Moderator of the 2010 General Assembly.
- The Rev. Dr. Jonathan Dent, minister, St. David's Presbyterian Church, St. John's, Newfoundland and Labrador
- The Rev. Dr. Patricia Dutcher-Walls, Dean of Students and Professor of Hebrew Bible, Vancouver School of Theology
- The Rev. Dr. Herb Gale, Associate Secretary, Planned Giving, The Presbyterian Church in Canada.
Ballots will be sent to presbyteries this month for members of presbytery to vote. The Committee to Advise the Moderator will count the ballots on April 1, 2010. The 2010 General Assembly will convene Sunday June 6th in Sydney, Nova Scotia.
