Lent and Easter Resources
Lent and Easter resources
In 2011, Lent begins March 9th, and Easter Sunday is April 24
Easter, the annual celebration of Christ’s resurrection, is the high point of the Christian year. In preparation, many Christians also commemorate Lent, a forty-day (not including Sundays) season of reflection, study and fasting.
In the Northern Hemisphere, these liturgical seasons coincide with the change from winter to spring, and so provide Christians with an ideal opportunity to annually embrace spiritual awakening, and our calling to be a resurrection people.

PWS&D 2011 Lent Liturgies
The 2011 Lent liturgies were written by the Reverend Karen Horst, Minister at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Orillia, Ontario. There is a liturgy for each Sunday in Lent, along with a story about the work of PWS&D on the back. The liturgies are inspired by the idea that change is coming for God’s plans are unfolding.
