Training Leaders
Training Leaders
Gifts to Presbyterians Sharing help train leaders for the present and future church
In addition to training ministers of The Presbyterian Church in Canada, our theological colleges—Knox College in Toronto, The Presbyterian College in Montreal and St. Andrew's Hall in Vancouver—also offer programs to equip lay leaders. Ministry and Church Vocations supports ministry candidates and their presbyteries in discerning the candidate's call. They also provide encouragement and learning for new clergy who have just begun their ministries.
Ministry & Church Vocations

Ministry and Church Vocations helps the church to discern, prepare and support leaders serving in ministry. Our partners include the sessions, presbyteries and synods that are in covenant relationship with their leaders, as well as the theological colleges with the Committee on Theological Education.
Teacher/Leader Courses
Learn more about TLC »
Teacher/Leader Courses (TLC) are workshops led by experienced facilitators who are rooted in a congregational setting. The program is flexible, nation-wide, and now includes a new series of workshops on Congregational Development.
You pick the courses and help to coordinate the event. Together, you and the TLC Advisory Team identify leadership. You look after hospitality and invite at least 20 people...and away we go! Courses are structured to address both small and large settings. They may be held anywhere in Canada at any time of the year.
