MONDAY, NOVEMBER 1
~ All Saints Day ~ Give thanks for your memories and for the lives of the people you have loved: family members, church family and friends.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 2
Pray for David Pandy-Szekeres’ ministry in the Ukraine, and for his wife Anna and their children.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 3
Pray for those who care for aging parents, that they will be granted patience, humour and some respite from their cares.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 4
Pray for all ministers as they plan and prepare for the busy Advent and Christmas seasons.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 5
Pray for farmers who, through support from Presbyterian World Service & Development, receive vegetable seeds, build water storage ponds for irrigation, create seed banks and plant trees to revitalize the soil.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 6
Pray for those who struggle with mental illness, and for those who care for them.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 7
Pray for the Presbyterian Church of East Africa in its work with Presbyterian World Service & Development, providing educational programs in churches and schools to prevent the spread of HIV and improve care for those affected by HIV and AIDS.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 8
Pray for the Life and Mission Agency Committee meeting at Crieff Hills, Ontario as its members continue to vision for the future work of the agency.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 9
Pray for people who must use local meal and shelter programs during this winter season’s cold days and nights.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 10
Pray for the members of the Committee on Education and Reception as they meet this week with candidates who have applied to be ministers in The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 11
~ Remembrance Day ~ In this month of remembrance, pray for those who serve in all branches of the Canadian Armed Forces. Bless the families who wait for them at home, that they might feel God’s love surrounding them.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 12
Pray for street children in Nicaragua who find hope, education, shelter and healing with the support of Presbyterian World Service & Development.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 13
Give thanks for the congregation of Almanarah Presbyterian Church in London, Ontario as they move into their new church building. May they continue to grow and bring the message of salvation and hope to their community.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 14
~ Restorative Justice Week ~ Pray for prison chaplains as they bring compassion and understanding to their ministry. Pray for healing for victims of crime. Pray for offenders, that they will acknowledge and take responsibility for the harm that they have caused, and commit to their own healing journey.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 15
Pray for families that are homeless. May they find shelter, comfort and the knowledge that God’s love encircles them.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 16
Bless the missionaries of our church as they serve in so many places around the world. Give them the strength and energy they need to carry out God’s work with love and compassion.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 17
Pray for those who dream of having a child and are struggling with fertility issues.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 18
Pray for the staff of The Book Room as they prepare for the rush of the Advent season.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 19
Pray for the work of overseas staff and partners of The Presbyterian Church in Canada during these challenging times.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 20
Give thanks for the members of the Assembly Council as they gather for their meetings at Crieff Hills, Ontario, and for the leadership of their convenor, The Rev. Bert Vancook.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 21
~ Christ the King Sunday ~ As the church year ends, give thanks for the gift of faith, and pray that we might look for and find words and opportunities to share that gift with others.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 22
Pray that federal, provincial and municipal governments, along with First Nations, Inuit and Métis governments and organizations, will work together to implement a national social housing program.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 23
Pray for those who are awaiting the results of medical tests for their loved ones.

WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 24
Pray for the ability to forgive ourselves and each other for hurts we have caused by our anger, pride or neglect.

THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 25
Pray for peace and security for all people. Pray for women and children who are especially vulnerable to violence in areas and situations of conflict.

FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 26
Pray for those who endure negativity from the people in their lives, that they might be able to keep a positive and happy attitude.

SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 27
Pray for the congregation of Burnaby Taiwanese Presbyterian Church in the lower mainland of British Columbia as they search for a minister for their growing congregation.

SUNDAY, NOVEMBER 28
~ First Sunday of Advent ~ As we start the new church year, may this be an opportunity for a fresh new beginning in our Christian lives in all that we say and do.

MONDAY, NOVEMBER 29
Give thanks for the generosity of people who make Planned Giving gifts that help The Presbyterian Church in Canada continue its ministry and outreach.

TUESDAY, NOVEMBER 30
Pray for peace and calm in the world. Pray that vulnerable and marginalized people in our society will be kept safe from harm.
