FRIDAY, OCTOBER 1
Pray for the members of the Presbytery of Northern Saskatchewan as they face exciting challenges, including the Saskatoon Native Circle Ministry and Prince Albert marathons to raise funds for children to attend Camp Christopher. Give thanks for The Rev. Bev Shepansky’s ministry at Mistawasis.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 2
Pray for Arlene Onuoha as she prepares to begin her appointment as a Regional Minister with the Presbytery of Temiskaming.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 3
~ World Communion Sunday ~ Pray for the members of our Christian family everywhere as Communion services follow the sun around the earth today.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 4
Pray for the Winnipeg Inner City Mission as it provides light and hope to people in downtown Winnipeg, Manitoba.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 5
Pray for those who are always in the public spotlight as they struggle with personal weaknesses and public opinion.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 6
Pray for the members of International Ministries’ Advisory Committee and give thanks for the work that they do in global ministry.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 7
Pray for seniors who live alone and feel isolated within their communities. Pray that others will reach out to and help them feel connected and needed.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 8
Give thanks for farmers and for those involved in the food production and service industries. Pray that all people will have nourishing food to eat, sharing in God’s abundance.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 9
Pray for safe travel for our moderator, Herb Gale, and give thanks for his work as he gathers with people within the Synod of British Columbia.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 10
~ Thanksgiving Sunday ~ Pray that we might recognize all the blessings in our lives and give thanks for them every day of the year.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 11
~ Thanksgiving Day ~ As we celebrate Thanksgiving Day, may we praise the risen Lord and give thanks for God’s love and generosity to us in times of joy and times of difficulty.

Pray that all people might have the comfort and support of family, friends and community.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 13
Pray for women in El Salvador as they realize their potential through the income generation, education, health and human rights programs supported by Presbyterian World Service & Development.
THURSDAY, OCTOBER 14
Pray for those who feel indifferent to the world around them, that they might be granted the ability to be more involved with their families and their community.
FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15
Pray for the Filipino Mission in Winnipeg, Manitoba in their work with recent immigrants to Canada.
SATURDAY, OCTOBER 16
~ World Food Day ~ Pray that people who live in poverty might have homes, security and nutritious food to eat. Pray for a world where everyone can live with dignity.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 17
Pray for the partners of Presbyterian World Service & Development as they work with the Canadian Foodgrains Bank to end hunger around the world.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 18
Pray for healing and new options for those in the grip of addiction. Pray for friends and family members who are affected by a loved one’s addiction.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 19
Pray for The Rev. John C. Duff, who serves as the convener of the Ministry Committee of the Presbytery of Newfoundland.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 20
Pray for those who serve as mentors to candidates preparing for ministry within The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

Pray for those who are overly competitive with others, that their competition might give way to grace.

Pray for The Rev. Wan Tae Oh and The Rev. Sean Foster as they develop an English and Korean ministry in Oakville, Ontario.

Pray for congregations that are planning to start new Women’s Missionary Society groups.
SUNDAY, OCTOBER 24
Pray for Margaret Evans as she completes her ministry as a program officer with the Shauri Yako Community Youth Support Centre in Nyeri, Kenya.
MONDAY, OCTOBER 25
Pray for a PWS&D-supported community college in India as its staff help school dropouts, rural and marginalized people to access education and secure employment in fields such as automotive repair, nursing and web design.
TUESDAY, OCTOBER 26
Pray for the ministers and elders of Brandon Presbytery as they share the enthusiasm they found at the Emmaus Conference with their congregations. May everyone in the presbytery have a renewed sense of Christ’s call and mission.
WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 27
Give thanks for those who reach out to women in need, and for those who volunteer and work in women’s shelters.

Pray for our church across the country, that we may work together as one family.

Pray for The Rev. Benoit Cousineau, who serves as the convener of the Ministry Committee of the Presbytery of Lanark and Renfrew.

~ Reformation Sunday ~ Give thanks for the faith and courage of the men and women of the Reformation. Pray that we will be inspired to follow in their footsteps, encouraging our church to be reformed and reforming.
