SATURDAY, MAY 1
May is Asian Heritage Month. Give thanks for the gifts that Asian culture and heritage bring to Canada and to the church.

SUNDAY, MAY 2
Pray for the Women's Missionary Society Council as they meet this week to learn, to share, and conduct business that affects the whole Society.

MONDAY, MAY 3
Pray for our theological students as they complete this year’s studies and make decisions regarding their future work. Grant them courage to dare to take on God’s challenges.

TUESDAY, MAY 4
Give thanks for those who share their gifts with the missions and ministries of the church.

WEDNESDAY , MAY 5
Pray for those who are working on the Crieff Hills capital campaign, Building a Place Apart, as they meet the demand for more and larger space for personal retreats, day visitors, group gatherings and to provide greater safety and ‘barrier free’ accessibility for people with limited or restricted mobility.

THURSDAY, MAY 6
Give thanks for the work of Druse Bryan, who is retiring as President of the Women's Missionary Society. Pray for Joan Smith as she begins her new term with the Society.

FRIDAY, MAY 7
Pray for the work of Presbyterian World Service & Development as it continues to provide vocational training for youth in Ghana, helping them to increase their incomes, confidence and mobility.

SATURDAY, MAY 8
Pray for the safety and wellbeing of those involved in search and rescue operations.

SUNDAY, MAY 9
~ Christian Family Sunday ~ Pray for those who work to find food for the shelves of the many food banks across Canada. May the public at large become aware of just how difficult this is to do every day of every year and respond faithfully and generously

MONDAY, MAY 10
Pray for Presbyterian World Service & Development program partners in Tanzania, bringing clean water to communities through wells and hygiene education.

TUESDAY, MAY 11
Pray for the International Ministries’ Personnel Committee and give thanks for their dedication to facilitating overseas appointments of capable and willing men, women and youth.

WEDNESDAY , MAY 12
Pray for the adults and young adults who are preparing for a summer of church camping. Pray for our synod camps and for the children and families who will be nurtured there this summer.

THURSDAY, MAY 13
~ Ascension of The Lord ~ Pray for strength, confidence and faith for those who think they do not have the power to change.

FRIDAY, MAY 14
Pray for the Rev. Roland DeVries, who serves as the convener of the Ministry and Personnel Committee of the Presbytery of Montreal.

SATURDAY, MAY 15
Pray for Canadian Forces families who have lost loved ones or whose loved ones have been badly injured.

SUNDAY, MAY 16
~ Ascension Sunday ~ Give thanks for the elders, committee members and worship leaders of your congregation who give so generously of their time and talents.

MONDAY, MAY 17
Pray for the Rev. Charles Kahumbu, new minister at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Flin Flon, Manitoba, as he begins his ministry in this northern mining community.

TUESDAY, MAY 18
Pray for the local arrangements committee under the convenorship of Lloyd Murdock as they prepare to welcome the General Assembly to Sydney, Nova Scotia.

WEDNESDAY , MAY 19
Remember in prayer members of the Canadian Council of Churches who meet in Ottawa this week to hold talks with politicians. Pray for Bob Faris and Stephen Kendall, our representatives on this Council.

THURSDAY, MAY 20
Pray for David Pan as he participates in EAPPI, the Ecumenical Accompaniment Programme to Palestine and Israel.

FRIDAY, MAY 21
Pray for guidance for the members of the Assembly Council as they gather this weekend to make decisions concerning the life of our denomination.

SATURDAY, MAY 22
Pray for girls who are victims of sexual abuse in Nicaragua. Pray they may find hope and healing as they live in a safe shelter provided by support from Presbyterian World Service & Development.

SUNDAY, MAY 23
~ Pentecost ~ National Day of Healing And Reconciliation~ Pray for the continued healing of Residential School survivors, members of their families, their communities, and the staff and church workers involved in the Residential School system. Pray for the successful work of the Truth and Reconciliation Commission.

MONDAY, MAY 24
Pray for those who have lost their jobs and are seeking employment. May they be granted faith, confidence, and new opportunities.

TUESDAY, MAY 25
Pray for the ministry and mission of the students who graduate this month from our three theological colleges.

WEDNESDAY , MAY 26
Pray for congregations that are discerning the direction of their future ministry.

THURSDAY, MAY 27
Pray for the broken of spirit, that they may discover in community a vehicle for God’s grace.

FRIDAY, MAY 28
Pray for the members of Leggatt’s Point Church in Métis, Quebec as they work with the Métis Beach United Church, sharing their minister, lay minister, and organist.

SATURDAY, MAY 29
Pray for parents of children who are in hospital intensive-care units.

SUNDAY, MAY 30
~ Trinity Sunday ~ Give thanks to God this Trinity Sunday. Saviour we thank you, Spirit, we thank you, Great God our Maker, we thank you.

MONDAY, MAY 31
Pray that our missionaries around the globe will not be discouraged by their many challenges and concerns about their safety and well-being in a broken world.
