MONDAY, MARCH 1
Pray for everyone attending the Life and Mission Agency Committee meeting at Crieff Hills Community in Puslinch, Ontario, as they seek to discern vision and priorities for the future.

TUESDAY, MARCH 2
Pray for Mary Helen Garvin as she prepares to travel to Malawi in May as a short term volunteer counselor with parents and children affected by HIV/AIDS.

WEDNESDAY , MARCH 3
Pray for the Rev. Paulette Brown and the volunteers at Flemingdon Gateway Mission in Toronto, Ontario, as they serve their diverse community with an afterschool program.

THURSDAY, MARCH 4
Pray for the soldiers, sailors, and air personnel who are finishing their tours of duty in Afghanistan, that they may reintegrate back into their families and their work in Canada in a healthy way.

FRIDAY, MARCH 5
~ World Day of Prayer ~ Pray for all the women and men around the world who are participating in the World Day of Prayer today. Bless them as they worship together and learn of the challenges faced by the women of Camaroon who wrote today’s service.

Pray that the work of Presbyterian World Service & Development and our partners will help build futures of hope by promoting justice, peace and the integrity of creation.

SUNDAY, MARCH 7
~ Third Sunday in Lent~ Pray for women in El Salvador who, with support from Presbyterian World Service & Development, help each other learn about their human rights and how to defend them.

MONDAY, MARCH 8
~ International Women’s Day~ Pray for women everywhere who are contributing to communities, working for change, providing safe homes, and calling for justice and mercy.

TUESDAY, MARCH 9
Pray for the work of the Rev. Francis Savill, who serves as the convener of the Student Certification Committee of the Presbytery of Westminster.

WEDNESDAY , MARCH 10
Pray for Rev. Emmanuel Cheema and Rev. Bushra Cheema, co-ministry team for the Asian Christ Church congregation, that they may lead a successful ministry for the South Asian community in Surrey, British Columbia.

THURSDAY, MARCH 11
Pray for Tricia Browne, Resource Consultant for The Book Room, and for her husband Ryan as they prepare to welcome their second baby into their family.

Pray for those who are involved in creating government policies that affect us all, that they will make ethical and humane choices.

Pray for the safety of those who are travelling during March break.

~ Fourth Sunday in Lent ~ Pray for those who are homeless, that they may find warmth and comfort and not feel forgotten by those who can help.

Pray for those who work at the Presbyterian national offices, that this week’s office closure due to Presbyterian Sharing shortfalls will not affect them adversely.

TUESDAY, MARCH 16
Pray for Katherine McCloskey, the new half-time minister at Evangel Hall in Toronto, Ontario, as she leads worship, Bible study, small groups, prayer, and pastoral care. Pray for all those who pass through their doors.

Pray for those who suffer from depression that they might be aware of God’s healing love and guidance and feel hope for the future.

THURSDAY, MARCH 18
Pray for our congregations as they work to achieve realistic budgets for 2010 despite the current economic situation.

Pray for Christians in India who face continued persecution with a recorded average of three serious incidents per week in 2009.

SATURDAY, MARCH 20
Pray for those who fear for their livelihood and the for the well-being of their families.

~ Fifth Sunday in Lent ~ International Day to Eliminate Racism ~ Thank God for the gifts that different cultures and peoples bring to the church. Give thanks that we are many peoples in God’s church, and pray that we will become a more inclusive church.

MONDAY, MARCH 22
Pray for retired missionary Pauline Brown at her home in India, that she may continue to enjoy good health and a fulfilling life.

TUESDAY, MARCH 23
Pray for girls in Afghanistan whose lives have been disrupted by years of war. May they access educational opportunities and realize their dreams with the help of Presbyterian World Service & Development programs.

WEDNESDAY , MARCH 24
Pray for Grace-ann McIntyre and the faithful ministry of Presbyterian Prayer Partnership.

THURSDAY, MARCH 25
Pray for the Women in Ministry Committee meeting at the Presbyterian Church in Canada national offices.

FRIDAY, MARCH 26
Pray for the directors and officers of the Presbyterian Church Building Corporation and for their annual meeting today in Toronto, Ontario.

SATURDAY, MARCH 27
Pray that governments, corporations, nonprofit organizations, faith groups and citizens will work together to help those who are most vulnerable to the harmful effects of climate change.

~ Palm/Passion Sunday ~ Pray that, as Jesus enters into Jerusalem to waving palms and shouts of Hosannas, that he might also enter into our hearts and that we might lay at his feet all that we have and are.

Give thanks for the people in our lives who give us the gift of laughter.

TUESDAY, MARCH 30
Pray for those who are trying to cope with the sudden loss of a loved one. May they be granted comfort, peace and a sense of God’s healing presence.

Pray for university and college students who are facing a stressful time as they finalize their academic projects and prepare for exams.
