Background
This year (2008), Christian Family Sunday coincides with Pentecost Sunday. But what a wonderful celebration that will make—the power and excitement of God’s Spirit alive and interacting with families—all types of families—small nuclear families, single-parent homes, multigenerational homes, and extended families. And one of the truly wonderful things about “church” is that it acts like an extended family to others. Together, people of all ages make up “the family of God.” Modify the following service to your context and enjoy the gift of God’s Spirit in your family of faith.
