Fasting for Change - Resources Available from PWS&D for World Food Day
More than 1 billion people in the world suffer from chronic hunger and malnourishment, a number that has reached unprecedented levels following global food and economic crises last year.
You are invited to participate in the Canadian Foodgrains Bank “Fast for Change” to stand up against this kind of inequality and injustice. Taking time to fast from food or other forms of consumption offers us an opportunity to reflect on why some people in the world will be forced to go to bed hungry tonight.
