World AIDS Day 2009: December 1
Presbyterians are working to build a world without AIDS. PWS&D programs in Malawi are reducing transmission of AIDS from pregnant mothers to their children, providing home-based care treatment to people living with AIDS, teaching and equipping people to prevent the spread of the disease and providing care and shelter for orphans.
But many people in low- and middle-income countries still lack access to essential medicine and health care. You can help raise awareness of the progress that has been made and the needs that still exist by using the following World AIDS Day resources in your church.
