Women in Ministry

Women in Ministry is a national committee of the Ministry and Church Vocations office of the Life and Mission Agency of The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

The purpose of Women in Ministry is to support women in ministry, with particular attention to those who are isolated by geography or function, to be an advocate for women in the church and to develop an educational strategy for the church at large concerning the role of women in the church.

Women In Ministry Committee Mandate

  1. To support women in ministry, with particular attention to those who are isolated by geography or function though provision of opportunities for mutual support and for reflection on identified issues related to women in ministry.
  2. To be an advocate for women, both individually and corporately, within the structures of the Church.
  3. To develop an educational strategy for the Church at large concerning the role of women in the Church.
  4. To function in such a way that the committee embodies the purpose.
