Ecumenical Youth Exchange Program

Youth in Mission will be sending a team of 6 young adults to Taiwan next summer for the second part of the Ecumenical Youth Exchange with the Presbyterian Church in Taiwan. Young adults from both churches will participate in mission projects around Taiwan as they dialogue together about mission, the Church and the world. The program will provide participants with a unique ecumenical and cross-culture experience that will challenge their faith and strengthen their commitment to Jesus Christ.

Last summer participants from both churches gathered in Montreal to begin their experience together. They participated in Canada Youth 2009 and also visited Winnipeg Inner City Missions. An equally great experience awaits the 2010 team in Taiwan.

Participants should have strong leadership skills, a desire to learn, knowledge of the Presbyterian Church in Canada, involvement with their local and regional Church bodies and the ability to take initiative. Attempts will be made to choose participants that reflect the PCC’s geographical and ethnic character. All prospective applicants will be interviewed.
