Synopsis: 

Ministry with First Nations people is an important focus of the Presbyterian Church in Canada. Through involvement with Mistawasis, YIM is playing a small part in this healing and reconciliation ministry. This trip offers a unique opportunity to work with and learn from Canada’s aboriginal communities.

The team will fly to Saskatoon, SK and then drive up to Mistawasis. Mistawasis, meaning “big child”, is a native community in which Mistawasis Memorial Presbyterian Church is situated. There, the team will assist the congregation and community with leading a day camp for the children of Mistawasis.

Skills needed
We are looking for volunteers who:
• can work together as a team
• have an interest in First Nations
• have skills in games, crafts or music
• are willing to take initiative
• have an active faith
