Life for unaccompanied refugee children in Hungary is full of challenges. Not only are they adjusting to a new culture and language, but most of these children have been through horrific experiences - both in their home countries and on their journey to Hungary. Many suffer from post traumatic stress disorder. The Reformed Church in Hungary’s school integration program provides unaccompanied minors with instruction in Hungarian as a Second Language, dormitory accommodation, tutoring, social support and counseling.
