Help Build a Christian Camp -- Guyana

The Guyana Presbyterian Church has found Christian Camping to be one of the most effective ministries to children, teens and young adults. However, not having a camp of their own means that the church must rent a campground each time they hold a camp and this increases the price of a week at camp. Many potential campers cannot afford to take part in a church camping experience unless they receive assistance to do so.

The Guyana Presbyterian Church has a large tract of land, composed of open field and forest on which they would like to build their own camp. This is a major project for a small church and will require substantial outside assistance to make it possible.

If you or your congregation are looking for a larger and very worthwhile overseas mission project to support, please consider building a camp in Guyana.

The project is multi-year and will take part in three phases beginning in 2008:
Phase 1 – Construction of six dormitory cabins, mess hall, fencing, water, electricity, access road and furnishings at a cost of $25,000.00.
Phase 2- Construction of remaining cabins and landscaping at a cost of $75,000.00.
Phase 3- Construction of a swimming pool at a cost of $25,000.00.
