Gifts of Change (Something Extra Projects)

Gifts of Change is a series of special projects that congregations, church groups and individuals can fund over and above contributions to Presbyterians Sharing. While specific examples are provided to give an idea of what a donation can do, we work with our partners to provide funding and resources as needed. Our partners will use your gift to carry out the goals of the program. Actual costs depend on local markets and the country of work.

Order a Gifts of Change catalogue and see the list of projects

Once a year, a new catalogue is available for order. It is the perfect size to slip into a bulletin for a Sunday service. Order these catalogues for free from The Book Room and encourage your congregation or group to give gifts of change.

Mission Moment

Your generous gifts are helping native ministries in Canada (currently seven in total) to pay for supplies and programs that are making a difference and bringing positive change.

Your gifts support the Tsawwassen First Nations’ Children’s Arts & Crafts and Musical Kids programs in Delta, BC. These programs help boost self-esteem, teaching children that they all have God-given talents that include music, creative art and handiwork skills.

Your gifts help The Nazko and Area Dekelh Outreach ministry to host a small group of First Nations people who come together weekly in Quesnel, BC to study the Bible, pray and worship weekly. The members of this group then go out to minister to others in their daily lives.

Your gifts enabled Saskatoon Native Circle Ministry (see picture) to purchase a stove for their drop-in centre, where meals are prepared and served to people in inner-city Saskatoon. The new stove makes it possible to provide a variety of healthy foods.

Thank you for your generous gifts. They are making a difference.
