Feed Bodies and Minds -- Flemingdon Gateway Mission, Toronto, ON
Flemingdon Gateway Mission* has begun a new health and nutrition program in partnership with the Ministry of Health. The program helps immigrant children discover healthy eating and living through hands on, creative activities. Not only do they learn to shop for nutritious food and to prepare simple, attractive and healthy meals, they are learning to work together, developing healthy attitudes and growing their self-esteem. Support and guidance for the program comes from parents, adult volunteers and Leaders in Training (LIT’S) living in the Flemingdon Park area. You can help in this important ministry!
