Book Description

This workbook is designed to assist leaders of Stage 1 in the Religion in Life program of The Presbyterian Church in Canada and to provide participants with a record of their learning and faith journey at this stage.

This workbook is based on the objectives and guidelines for the Religion in Life program outlined in the brochure published by Scouts Canada and Guides Canada for The Presbyterian Church in Canada.

It is recommended that leaders:

• prepare their instructional program using resources recommended in the brochure and by gathering resources available from nearby Christian educators
• provide each participant with one of these workbooks
• introduce information through group discussion and activity
• help participants complete the workbook exercises that complement their program, doing them in the sequence that suit their program
• include activities beyond those suggested in the workbook, especially group activities that involve crafts, drama, audio-visual resources, and visits.
