This book is designed to develop effective ministries in the new world. It is not a "how to" book but a "with what" resource. Easum argues that control and regulation are the sacred cows of established churches, and explains why they need to be ground into gourmet hamburger. Developing spiritual growth, not managerial skills in congregational leaders is the key to achieving this. This book is about creating a new ''permission giving'' model for churches, based on trust, collaboration and networks. The leadership model presented is one of the equipers and not the enabler.
